Ledaig Sinclair Series - Rioja Cask

Tobermory Distillery has launched its Sinclair Series of bottlings with a superbly flavourful Ledaig single malt that has spent time in Rioja wine barrels! The series is named after the distillery's founder, John Sinclair, and this version has a lot of peaty flavours to go with the luscious red fruit sweetness from the Rioja barrels.

This is a beautiful evening drama. This smokey Ledaig single malt was brewed with intensely peated barley and aged in hand-selected Rioja barrels, making it the inaugural release in Tobermory distillery's Sinclair Series.

On the palate, almonds, raspberries, vanilla, cinnamon, and freshly cut grass complement notes of Turkish Delight, leather, black pepper, and dark chocolate. These are complemented by almond notes, raspberries, vanilla, cinnamon, and freshly cut grass over rich waves of savoury peat smoke.
